Dental Hygienist Dentistry's main goal is to provide good oral health. Hygienists help prevent and treat gingivitis and periodontitis through patient cleanings and education.

Dental Health Good dentists—and smart dental patients—think of the mouth as the first line of defense against disease. This program details the importance of maintaining good dental health, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also to prevent diabetes, cardiovascular inflammation, and other serious health threats. Illustrating the ways that gingivitis and periodontal disease destroy gum and bone tissue, the program shows how these mouth ailments can ultimately weaken systems throughout the body, with dangerous and possibly fatal effects on the pancreas, blood vessels, heart, and even unborn babies. Interviews with respected dentists reinforce critical concepts and treatment options. (28 minutes)

Toddler Oral Health Your toddler has a mouth full of pretty white teeth. They can bite and chew and smile in a way that melts your heart. But how do you keep their teeth healthy, and it is really important to? After all, they are going to lose them. In this film we will look at why your child’s oral health IS important to their overall health, how teach them good teeth brushing habits, when to see the dentist, and what to do if your child has a dental problem.
