Working with Mechanical Engineering: In this program, four young people who use mechanical engineering skills in their work, talk about their working lives, career paths, and what they enjoy about their jobs.

Overview to Computer Assisted Drafting: This program explores how computer assisted drafting (CAD) has replaced the hand tools used in previous years. The computer has changed the way work is completed, saves time and money, and produces a better product. A thorough history documents the technological advances leading to CAD, beginning with the late 1950s. Continuing development promises to allow greater creative output. A detailed examination of CAD hardware and software notes the many upgrades leading to the AutoCAD program. Three dimensional images generated with CAD bypass the need for physical models. This capability extends to computer-animated tours and continues to expand drafting into new areas. (16 minutes)
